In theory, problem behavior is highly preventable, changeable, and reliant on environmental influences. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the scientific study of the impact of the environment on behavior. Informing educators about the predictive power of behavior allows them to appropriately identify, intervene, and replace problem behaviors which ultimately reduces the likelihood of misconduct over a child’s lifespan, regardless of medical diagnosis.
